Virgin Atlantic
Virgin Atlantic, headquartered in Crawley, United Kingdom, is one of the country's major international airlines. Virgin Atlantic operates a network of international services to North America, the Caribbean, Africa, and Asia from its hub at London Heathrow. Virgin Atlantic is owned by the Virgin Group (51%) and Delta Air Lines (49%). Sir Richard Charles Nicholas Branson is a British billionaire, entrepreneur, and business magnate. In the 1970s, he founded the Virgin Group, which today controls more than 400 companies in various fields, including Virgin Atlantic Airlines.
The airline becomes Britain’s second-largest carrier, with non-stop transatlantic routes from London Heathrow including New York, Orlando, the Caribbean, Delhi, and Johannesburg. Their huge success in the said field of aviation is credited to their joint ventures with Delta, Air France, and KLM. They can seamlessly connect their customers to over 350 cities across North America, Europe, and the United Kingdom.
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Virgin Atlantic Cargo has played a vital role in keeping global supply chains running and transporting essential goods around the world. They are agile and continue to innovate, bringing in new services such as Pharma Secure to respond to customer demand. They played a part in supporting the COVID-19 recovery by transporting crucial vaccines and pharmaceutical products to the UK and around the world on our global network, ensuring swift access to vaccines for the public as they became available.
Established in 1984 and headquartered in Crawley, West Sussex, Virgin Atlantic Ltd. (Virgin Atlantic), a subsidiary of Virgin Group Ltd., is a British airline company that provides domestic, international, and other flight services. It also offers holiday packages and cargo services. Virgin Atlantic uses a mixed fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft for carrying passengers across North America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Caribbean.
The company’s cargo business connects manufacturers, consumers, and retailers across 200 countries. It also offers daily services to China, Africa, the Caribbean, Australia, and Hong Kong.
They were the first airline to offer a premium economy seat, and to serve ice cream in-flight. It's the vision that Richard Branson started, and continues today with innovation in that same spirit. Now it’s achieved through personalized customer experiences. It’s the extra sparkle of having the customer’s favorite drink ready for them as they board.

Virgin’s operations are spread between its London Heathrow, London Gatwick, and Manchester bases. Its operations from Heathrow are concentrated around key business markets in the U.S., Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. London Gatwick is entirely a leisure-based market and is oriented around the North American region. All of Virgin Atlantic’s Caribbean and Mexican markets originate in Gatwick, in addition to Las Vegas and Orlando. Similarly, the Manchester base operates to serve leisure markets in the Caribbean, as well as a few in North America.
